We help poor family for the marriage of their Daughters

Dahej Virodhi Sanstha is a trust NGO for poor girl marriage, mainly to perform the “kanyadaan” of daughters whose families can’t afford a wedding. We try to support the girl and her family by bearing the expenses of the wedding and demolish dowry and suicide due to lack of funds for marriage.

We believe that no girl should be treated as a burden just due to her marriage expense. we aim to provide all the funds required for a wedding and help such families and brides. According to us a kanyadaaner is a greater person than a person who performs kanyadaan because he is donating for the person to perform the most auspicious ceremony.

Meet the needy

We meet the needy person personally by visiting his/her place to verify whether it is authenticate or not.

Understand the Requirements

Then we prepare the list of requirements for the marriage of the poor girl.

Estimate about the Budget.

Then we estimate the budget and all the financial requirements required to complete the marriage.

Fund Raising

Then we start raising the funds through asking donations from our members and all other volunteers.

The dowry system, deeply ingrained in the social fabric of many Indian communities, remains a persistent challenge, especially in states like Haryana. Despite legal prohibitions and increased awareness campaigns, the practice continues to thrive, perpetuating gender-based violence and discrimination.

The practice of dowry has historical roots in Indian society, often stemming from traditional norms and cultural beliefs. Haryana, with its patriarchal setup and rigid social structures, has been a hotbed for the dowry system. Historically, the practice was seen as a form of economic security for women, but over time, it has morphed into a tool for exploitation and harassment.

Dahej Virodhi Mission takes the responsibility to abolish the dowry system from society by helping and providing the donation, kanyadaan, or financial help to get dowry-free marriage of their daughters
